​I began my career with dogs before the internet, back when a formal education in the feild offered very few options.  My path was purely hands on: I traveled the country as a Handler for kennel breeders and trainers, visiting groom shops, attending conferences and devouring every veterinary journal I could get my hands on. It was a different world entirely - shelters were simply run by the SPCA and the idea of "rescue" meant you saved a dog from drowning.

As time went on, I began to notice a deep disconnect between the professional fields and the people  who cared for these beloved companions. Also noted was a growing gap between the mixed-breed and pure-breed worlds, and frankly, no one was talking to anyone. Breeders weren't communicating with vets, vets weren't talking to trainers, and trainers weren't looping in groomers. As a direct result of this fragmentation, dogs were often horribly misdiagnosed, mistreated, mis-homed or abandoned.

It became clear to me that this splintered approach for canine care wasn't just inefficient - it was failing the dogs. My years of groundwork and self education gave me a unique perspective on how to fix it. Today, I combine that deep historical knowledge with the power of the internet, dedicating myself to continuous education in modern behavioral science and integrated care. I founded Rocky Mountain Companion Dogs LLC to finally bridge the gap between professionals and give dogs the life-long support they deserve. My mission is to be a central, informed advocate for owners, providing a comprehensive, research-backed strategy that ensures their beloved companions can truly thrive.

The breeding program - my vision.  This deep background - from working in the rescue field to understanding the unique development periods of puppies- is the foundation of my breeding philosophy. I don't just breed for physical standards; I breed for the future health, happiness and trainability of your companion or working dog.  This website is built to offer owners a total look at health screening, temperament evaluations and socialization protocols.  This allows me to teach future owners exactly what their future will look like: a confident, well adjusted member of the family.

Puppy Archive and history - every single puppy we have bred has a dedicated archival page.  This page can be easily found in our "CMD Breeder section" under PAST LITTERS. This allows you to track lineage and share history of your beloved companion.

Health Trak file system - Each puppy comes with a dedicated health record managed through our proprietary HEALTH TRAK file sharing system. This tool lets you easily track vaccinations, temperament testing, health testing and history of your dog from day one.

Integrated training - we offer a hybrid approach to learning. You can access comprehensive self paced online lessons for foundational training, schedule convenient in-person sessions if you are local, or mix n match services to ensure you and your dog get the support you need at every stage of your dog's life.
