This puppy LOVES her mom. As long as she's in the nest she's quiet and satisfied. As soon as she leaves little miss starts wiggling around looking for the big heat source I guess. She'll stay close to whomever is available. The most accepting of being cuddled and I dare say even enjoys it. Will probably be on the smaller side with a feminine frame. Seems to be a good candidate for our Therapy Dog program.

We started puppy culture protocols with this litter including ENS and China seemed to be the only one that didn't mind the interruption. Soft, feminine and demure, I noted the biggest female, Money, follows her around. I'll be darned if Money isn't using China as a kind of bodyguard. Temp tests were fun for both of us. She was comfortable with anything that had to do with handling, but fell a little behind when left to her own devices. Didn't follow, didn't investogate testing area but dove under me and stayed still.

Whenever we have to care for the litter all at once like for vaccinations or puppy culture exercises, China is the last one to be worked with. That is always because she stays out of the way. She hardly ever whines or gets needy, but if you ask for her attention she's very happy to give it up. At two weeks she had a fear period that lasted a couple of days, during which she hid in the den and only came out to nurse if mom was out there. Once it passed she was back to her old self. She has a firm grasp on "manding", sitting nicely for people, familiar or new-to-her people.
