Uncle Sam spent his first 3 hours of life trying to eat. Since then he's stayed close to the edges of the puppy pile. Most of the litter likes to pile and they can be vocal. Sam is the exception. 3 day temp tests showed him to be tolerant, not sensitive, accepting of being handled. Turned into petting and found mom immediately after being put back in the nest.

score 7-8 Collar color - red weight 17.5 oz
This is the first puppy to seek eye contact and it literally bowled him over. He let out a big bark and fell backwards. he recovered well, continuing to seek my attention and immediately looks to my face if he can. He WAS a quiet puppy, but now he practicing the full range of vocal accesories. He will growl, yike, howl, bark, play bark and whine. He didn't like any of the ENS. Interesting coat color - he may be "Seal" when full grown.
Score 7-8 weight 4.7 lbs
Sam has opinions and has no problem expressing them. EXTREMELY interactive he will make a great effort to move himself into my view. A well balanced but round frame, he will be stocky when grown. And heavy...topping 100lbs easily. Sleeps well through the night but can be whiny and he even gets quite loud if I'm behind on letting them out in the morning. Anything I want to do with Sam is A OK with him, as long as he gets to spend time with us. Warms up to people a bit quicker than the other pups,
