An easy birth. Ate right away and slept immediately afterwards Can get noisy if he gets "lost" in the nest he'll call for mom until she responds. This puppy seemed to enjoy the handling of the temp tests.  Grunted the whole time. Stiff at first for turn over then quickly loosened up, but always kept his tail up and stiff.   Found the closest sibling when placed back in the nest and quietly slept.

The only pup in the litter to not improve tolerance for ENS. He struggled just as hard for that on day one as day 11. For temperament tests he was accepting, but for only a very short while. He is more impatient with the others. First puppy to bark at any novel objects or people. Affectionate, appreciates full body contact. He's gonna be a leaner like his dad.

Merlin was the hit of the "Puppy Party" we threw in accordance with the Puppy Culture protocol. Outgoing, social - LARGE AND IN CHARGE is his motto.   When he's around his siblings he can be sassy and a little hyper - loses himself in the action. By himself he is attentive, calm and interactive.   Temperament test scores were therefore exquisite when I separated him but were all over the place in the presence of other dogs.  Be mindful of this as he grows.  Athletic balanced build with a medium coat. He has inherited the best of both parents in his bone structure.
